Together Lancashire

Together Lancashire is a grouping of Methodist's, Anglican's and other denominations working to tackle poverty in all its forms in Lancashire 

Church Urban Fund secured some funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to address some of the poverty in the area in 2012. The funding allowed the Diocese of Blackburn and the Lancashire Methodist District to come together to form with CUF, Together Lancashire.

It is here to:

  • support churches and faith based groups in addressing the effects of poverty in their areas
  • help the groups involved to form local networks working towards a common goal

Together Lancashire are working on:

  • Building networks of people and groups committed to Christian Social Action
  • Arranging Conferences to stimulate action 
  • Credit Unions and Financial Inclusion
  • Addressing Food Poverty
  • Sourcing and distributing grants
  • Homelessness
  • Worklessness
  • Rural Poverty
  • Places of Welcome and Support
  • Parish Nursing
