2017 saw many Lanacshire parishes taking part in Thy Kingdom Come - the Archbishop of Canterbury's call to pray that people come to know Jesus Christ.
From Ascension to Pentecost 2018 (10th - 20th May 2018), the Archbishops are again calling Christians to join a wave of prayer across the UK and around the world praying that people we know might know Jesus. From the initial launch in 2016, there are now Christians involved from 85 countries representing more than 50 denominations.
The hope of the Archbishops is that as Christians pray together we will:
Around the world, individuals and churches will be coming together to pray that their friends, families, neighbours and work colleagues come to know Jesus Christ. We will meet together on Wednesday 9th May at 7.30pm at a service in Blackburn cathedral to equip us to return to our parishes to pray.
More details of the launch event will be available nearer the time but so that we can make sure we have sufficient resources for the service, we ask that you use the booking link https://thy-kingdom-come-lancashire-beacon-prayer-event.eventbrite.co.uk to give us a rough idea of how many are coming from each church.
You can pledge to pray, both as individuals and churches by visiting www.thykingdomcome.global and where you can download resources to help you plan how you, your family and your church can be involved.
