Last updated 7th September 2017
To make it more cost effective and convenient to participants, changes have been made to this course. There is no longer a residential weekend, as this has been replaced by two Satuday events on 17th March and 14th April. All the Saturday events will take place at Dicoesan Offices rather than in Penrith so the venues are now Bamber Bridge Methodist Church and Blackburn Diocesan Offices. This has reduced the cost to £120 per participant, making it more cost effective and more convenient for travelling. Bookings are still being taken, so if you would like to attend, please complete the application form from the link further down this page and return it to Siobhan.
Mission Shaped Ministry is a part time one year course that equips people for planting and sustaining fresh expressions of church.
Run in conjunction with the Methodist Church in Lancashire, the Mission Shaped Ministry course is suitable for lay and ordained people who are thinking of starting a Fresh Expression or planting a new church congregation or are already involved with one. It will next run in Blackburn Diocese from Saturday 30th September 2017 to March 2018.
The course is delivered ecumenically and is designed for busy Christians. Using varied learning styles and resources,, it provides opportunities to reflect on your context and story.
The initial day will be a Saturday, and then over the next few months there will be four evening meetings in Bamber Bridge on Wednesdays. The course will then end with two Saturday sessions in March and April 2018.
The cost will be £120 which includes the all materials and refreshments including lunches on the three Saturdays.
The course leaders and teachers include David Banbury, Alison Ransome, and Linda Tomkinson.
